"Scrapped Metal" Iron Farm

The Scrapped Metal recycling plant exists to create usable raw material from a bountiful natural resource. The plant produces iron which is pre-smelted and pre-cut into ingots of uniform size and consistency, with a purity which meets or exceeds industry standards. This obviates the need to mine iron from non-renewable, underground sources—which are fraught with natural hazards. The farm uses a proprietary “green-energy” process which does not require the use of coal, and it is completely carbon-neutral.

The iron is produced using lab-grown, organic biomasses, which were specifically designed for this purpose. The biomasses are grown in a ferrous solution, which consists of at least 80% post-consumer recycled iron. Once mature, the biomasses are transported, via water, to a collection chamber. There, the iron is harvested and packaged for shipping. The facility which produces the biomasses employs only local (i.e., non-outsourced) laborers and engineers, creating a wealth of jobs in the region. Scrapped Metal is an equal-opportunity employer.

From Shagariden or Mt. Paradox, take the The Fist of the North (Shikonneko) tunnel in the Nether. The Scrapped Metal tunnel branch is indicated by an iron block. The Nether coordinates for the portal are X: 296, Z: -256. The iron farm is mere seconds away from Aransas in the Nether. To reach the farm from the Aransas portal, take the left path after exiting the portal, and look for the short-cut path on the right wall. Aransas itself is easy to reach using the DTA red line.

To use the farm, simply stand on the pressure plates and press yourself up against the glass wall. Look at your toes to avoid making eye-contact with Enderman, and wait. The harvesting machine will do the rest! The farm produces about 32 iron ingots per hour, but it is subject to highly variable drop rates. Please be patient; our laborers are producing biomass as fast as they can!

The iron farm's factory was built by and is maintained by Ahm Shagar. The harvesting room and its amenities were constructed by Chibi. The shape of the biomass in use is entirely coincidental and does not resemble any entity, living or dead.
