As promised, your admin team has completed the Major Update to Minecraft 1.20.1.

Wait, team? There's one person running this crazy operation! There is no “i” in team, but there is an “i” in admin.

You will need to update your client to continue playing. Minecraft 1.20.1 is not the most recent version available, so you'll need to pin release 1.20.1 in your launcher. Now is a good time to review:

• The world maps page, which has been updated to reflect the new mapping software. Your character's position will now appear on the web maps unless you opt-out. Read this page to learn more.

• The official release notes or the fan wiki version

Further upgrades will likely take place in November.

There's no time to waste—get out there and dig up something cool.

You can find this option in the “Installation” tab of your Minecraft Launcher home screen.
