TheParadox.Us is a private, cloud-hosted Minecraft SMP server. Access is available on an invitation-only basis.

Important announcements regarding system status, updates, and news are available as an RSS or ATOM feed.

The server shuts down each day at 11:01h UTC for an offline backup and server restart. Warnings will be posted to the world chat starting ten minutes before the shut-down. The shut-down ensures that a clean backup of the world is made and helps keep memleaks from the server process under control. The down-time is typically less than one minute. The world maps are also updated at this time. Performance may decrease for a few minutes while the maps render.

• No free items will be spawned via /give. This is a Survival server, not a Creative server.
• The world data is copyright of, and belongs to, its individual contributors. Schematics of your builds will be made available upon request.
• Before editing any of the pages in this wiki, read our conventions page. This wiki has a no real names policy which is strictly enforced.
• Abusive, threatening, or harassing behavior is not tolerated on any of our services.
• This server is payment-free and commercial-free, and it will be for the rest of its existence. We will not sell your anything to anyone. Period.

• The featured screenshots page lists some locations that may be worth a visit.
• Web maps of the world's surface are provided at https://www.theparadox.us/maps/. Maps are regenerated daily. You can add your own markers by following these instructions.

• Report a server failure:
  • If the server crashes, it should be restarted automatically within five minutes. Please wait five minutes for the server to come back up. If it does not, let us know.
  • Did you lose items due to a server failure or serious bug? Send us a list of lost items, and we'll give them back.
• Perform surveying: Make sure you're not building in someone's backyard. An admin will help you check this, if you want.
• Add map markers: Map markers are now self-service. You can add map markers via in-game signs.
• Change non-marker entries on the Nether Maps, including routes and areas. If you don't like a road's name, ask to have it changed.
• Set your wiki password: We'll get you up and running.
• Obtain schematics: Your builds are yours. We will furnish you with MC Schematics or level-by-level snapshots of your creations upon request. Please have bounding box coordinates ready.
• Replace enchanted items: Bad luck at the enchanting table? An op will replace an unused enchanted tool with a shiny new un-enchanted one. Your XP will not be restored, however.
